The amount of wasted time, money, and energy normal people spend for totally pointless appearance related issues is just mind boggling to me. I see hikers go by that look like they could go straight from the trail to a nice restaurant, not a hair out of place anywhere, makeup, and a bunch of gym developed muscles that are useless for anything but looking good to other people. I'm just a guy living in the mountains and desert not giving a fuck wether I stink or have messy hair or a giant oil stain on the front of my shirt. This is exactly how I feel about the population of our country when I go to a real city and look all the people paying so much attention to how they appear for the person to them.
